Food App Revamp

The UNU Biryani App redesign aims to transform the existing food-ordering experience into a faster, more intuitive, and brand-consistent journey.
The focus was on simplifying interactions, improving visual hierarchy, and aligning the interface with the brand’s identity.

Our goal: create a user-friendly, conversion-driven experience that feels as delightful as the food itself.

Branding & Onboarding

Problem

Incorporated UNU Biryani’s logo and primary color palette throughout the onboarding flow for consistent brand recall.
Text and backgrounds were optimized for contrast and legibility across all screens.

The onboarding process was reimagined to introduce users to the app’s personality while clearly communicating key features — reinforcing the brand’s tagline and food philosophy.

Design Impact

  • Strengthened first impressions and brand identity

  • Increased new user retention through visual storytelling

Registration & Verification

A dedicated registration page now offers both sign-up and login options, streamlining entry for new and returning users.
The CTA (Call-to-Action) button is placed ergonomically at the bottom of the screen for easy thumb access.
Secondary options, like “Change Phone Number,” enhance flexibility and reduce friction.

Add to Cart Interaction

Visual feedback (such as a subtle toaster animation) was introduced to confirm when an item is added to the cart — enhancing clarity and satisfaction.
“Add” and “Remove” buttons are positioned beside each card for quick updates.
Food ratings remain visible to guide informed decisions.

Introduced subtle in-product alerts for allergy-related information.
Highlighted within product descriptions for better visibility and compliance.

40% reduction in ordering steps

Improved decision confidence and control

Clearer step-by-step checkout

Higher trust and transparency

Order Confirmation & Review

After placing an order, users receive visual confirmation via animation and detailed order summary, including pickup address, date, and payment mode.
Real-time order tracking enhances engagement and anticipation.
The post-delivery review flow encourages quick feedback through a simple rating interface.

Encouraged repeat usage through seamless post-order flow
